Metaview, the London and San Francisco recruiting software company, has raised a $60m Series C led by Insight Partners, a year after its previous round. The deal takes total funding to $110m; the valuation was not disclosed.
Metaview was founded in 2018 by chief executive Siadhal Magos and chief technology officer Shahriar Tajbakhsh, who previously worked at Uber and Palantir. It began by recording and analysing job interviews, and says it has now captured more than 6 million of them.
The company has since moved into AI agents that handle earlier stages of hiring. Its software sources candidates, assesses applications against a role brief and conducts structured screening conversations. Metaview says recruiters set the criteria and make every final decision.
The round
Insight Partners led the $60m Series C. GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures also participated.
The financing comes roughly 12 months after Metaview's last raise. With $110m now raised in total, the new round accounts for more than half of all the capital the company has taken in.
Terms were not disclosed. Metaview did not publish a post-money valuation or the stake sold, so the dilution taken by the founders and earlier backers cannot be calculated.
Seedcamp's participation is notable for the cap table: the London seed investor is still writing cheques at Series C, alongside US growth capital from Insight and GV.
Traction
More than 7,000 companies use Metaview, including Deel, Affirm, Navan and Replit. The company says some customers have cut their time to hire by more than 75 per cent.
In August it acquired Reval, an AI-native recruiting startup. Terms of that deal were not disclosed.
Alongside the funding, Metaview is making its autonomous recruiting agent, fillmore, generally available. The agent finds candidates, writes outreach, manages follow-ups and books screening calls. A dedicated screening agent is in development.
Magos cited one hire in which the software sourced, researched and contacted 52 candidates and booked five screening calls. The successful candidate went from first contact to a signed offer in 30 days.
Use of funds
Headcount is set to rise from 80 to 250 by the end of next year, more than tripling the team. Metaview will also open a New York office in addition to London and San Francisco.
The company plans to expand 10x Recruiting, its community and training programme for recruiters.
The wider market
AI hiring has attracted several rounds in recent weeks. Spott raised a $21m Series A led by Balderton, and London-based Jack & Jill has also raised new capital for agents that work with both candidates and employers.
US rival Juicebox, backed by Sequoia, opened in London this week with plans for 50 hires.
