
Revolut clears first US regulatory hurdle as the $115bn fintech targets an American bank launch next year
Revolut has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a US national bank charter, the first of three regulatory clearances it needs before opening an American bank. The Canary Wharf company was valued at $115bn in a secondary share sale in July.
