Juicebox, a US AI recruiting platform, has opened an office in Soho and plans to employ more than 50 people in London within a year. The move follows an $80m Series B at an $850m valuation in March and puts the company in direct competition with London-based Jack & Jill.

Juicebox sells AI agents that find, rank and contact job candidates. The pitch is to treat hiring like outbound sales. The company was founded by chief executive David Paffenholz and Ishan Gupta, and says it serves more than 5,000 companies worldwide.

More than 1,000 of those customers are already in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company calls London one of its strongest markets outside the US. Clients named in the announcement include Cursor, Lovable, Ramp, Reddit, Notion and Samsara.

    The capital behind the expansion

Juicebox has raised $116m in total. Most of that came from the March Series B:

    • Size: $80m
    • Valuation: $850m
    • Lead investor: DST Global
    • Other investors: Sequoia, Coatue, Y Combinator, NFDG and Verified Capital

At the time of that round, the company said annual recurring revenue had tripled since its Series A in July 2025. It has not disclosed absolute revenue. No new equity was announced alongside the London opening.

    London build-out

The Soho office will be Juicebox's first base outside the US. The company plans to grow headcount there to more than 50 within 12 months. It has not said how those roles will divide between sales, customer success and engineering.

Paffenholz said opening a London office was a natural step given how much of the business already comes from the UK.

Two London customers were quoted in the launch announcement: Adam Lawrence of tax technology company Fonoa and Joshua Voisey of procurement start-up Omnea. Both described using the tool to find more specific candidate profiles and to personalise outreach at scale.

    A crowded London market

The move puts Juicebox directly up against Jack & Jill, a London AI recruiter. Jack & Jill raised $30m in a round led by Air Street Capital in September, less than a year after a $20m seed.

The two companies approach the market from different directions. Jack & Jill built in London and is expanding outward. Juicebox arrives with an established US customer base and a valuation close to $1bn.

    What's next

For UK investors, the arrival shows that US-funded AI challengers are now coming to London's talent and customer base directly, rather than serving it from the US. The next indicators will be how fast Juicebox hires locally and whether UK-based rivals respond with fresh rounds of their own.
